That link was a good read, thank you. Amusing too, as so far, the bulk of the subs I have met can be easily labeled as "selfish". If their needs are not met, they throw tantrums. Pretty pathetic really. But maybe they're just playing games, who knows.

The thoughts in that last paragraph is what sets you apart from all the "wannabie" Doms in SL. You recognise the "need" to please that engulfs the heart and soul of a sub. It's interesting you write this as Forcme Silverspar wrote today about what SHE thinks marks the difference between genuine submissives and those who roleplay (intentionally or not) http://forcemesilverspar.blogspot.com/2010/01/failures.html .
I agree, and I think she would too that there is no cookie cutter, there are no "true subs" or "true doms" but I think in each role there should be at least certain characteristics present, even if only minutely.
By simply having those rules you've shown yourself to be mindful of your expectations and your willingness to share them with potential subs. Many Doms just assume a sub will know what to do without communicating (my own failing in the past so I speak from bitter experience). Now I understand totally the need for those expectations to be clear. Your rules also show you be a Dom who understands the "exchange" between Sub and Dom, you note that the sub should be respected as well as show respect, you allow for questions etc. Unsurprisingly to me at least this shows you to be a even-handed Dom, not yet another of the "It's all about ME" wannabies that plague SL.
It's nice for me to see those rules up there, a refreshing alternative to the rather daunting lists you see online, an example of which you linked to. Your rules while succinct cover much and yet are manageable, nicely done. (So tempted to call you Sir now but unsure if you'd find that too odd)

For me, it isn't a question of corruption/innocence, or bad/good. Though I think it may be for some or even many. For me, it is totally visual. And yet way more powerful than most visual things are. :-)

Well I for one love that you're a sleaze and i TOTALLY get the Black/White contrast fetish, it is very visually appealing to me too. I wonder how much the Dark Dom / light Sub thing comes from us tendign to see corruption and innocence as Dark & light ... just a thought that came to me.
